Several of Kevin Spacey's former colleagues are calling for their industry to allow him to resume his career, nearly a year after the Oscar-winning actor was acquitted on sexual misconduct charges. "I can't wait to see Kevin back at work," Sharon Stone told the Telegraph, calling him a genius. "He is so elegant and fun, generous to a fault and knows more about our craft than most of us ever will," she added. Liam Neeson called Spacey "one of our finest artists in the theater and on camera, per Fox News. "Personally speaking, our industry needs him and misses him greatly."

Spacey has been largely offstage and offscreen since 2017, when the accusations were brought, though he has one film in production now. He was acquitted last year in the UK of sexually assaulting four men, per the BBC, and a US court dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit against him in 2022. A television documentary, Spacey Unmasked, was shown this month, prompting the testimonials sent to the Telegraph. The documentary included new accusations, which Spacey denied, though he said he accepts responsibility for his past actions. "I vouch for him unequivocally," said F. Murray Abraham, another Academy Award winner. "Who are these vultures who attack a man who has publicly accepted his responsibility for certain behavior, unlike so many others?"
