An 11-year-old girl tried to bribe New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern to reveal everything she knows about dragons and telekinesis. Too bad Ardern can't be bought. "Unfortunately we are not currently doing any work in either of these areas! I am therefore returning your bribe money, and I wish you all the very best in your quest for telekinesis, telepathy, and dragons," Ardern wrote in an April 30 letter to schoolgirl Victoria, confirmed by the BBC after it was posted on Reddit last week by a person claiming to be the girl's sibling.

With an interest piqued by Netflix' Stranger Things, Victoria "wanted the government to make her telekinetic when they are able" and "wanted to find out what they know about dragons and if they had found any yet, so she could train them," the user wrote, per NPR. One commenter suggested Victoria file an official information act request, per the New Zealand Herald. But in returning the bribe—a $5 New Zealand note—Ardern didn't crush all hope of discovery. "I'll still keep an eye out for those dragons," she wrote in a handwritten post-script, adding, "Do they wear suits??" (Ardern is newly engaged.)
