We just can't seem to let Sarah Palin go. Nearly a month after the election, she continues to dominate user lookups on search engines, cable news sites, and YouTube, reports Politico. Alaska's governor ranks near the top of virtually every major search tool, including Yahoo, AOL, and Lycos, where she dominated the incoming president until just last week. “People are still searching for her in record numbers,” said a Lycos spokeswoman. “How bizarre is that?"

A new Sarah Palin video is causing a buzz on YouTube and in the blogosphere, but it has little to do with presidential politics. Sarah Palin’s non-answer to Katie Couric’s question about what periodicals she reads still has the CBS anchor puzzled. Couric visited with David Letterman last night, and he quizzed her about why post-election interviewers haven’t asked the VP wannabe about her non-response, Gawker reports. Meanwhile, Letterman has a theory: “She was afraid of offending people who don’t read.”

Newt Gingrich predicts that Sarah Palin will not be the Republicans’ 2012 presidential nominee, the Hill reports. “I think that she is going to be a significant player,” the former speaker of the House told Face the Nation . “But she’s going to be one of 20 or 30 significant players.” In other talk shows: Arnold Schwarzenegger will do all he can to help President Barack Obama, but not as a Cabinet member, the Hill reports. “I am the first one to go and do everything that I can, as governor, and as a state, to support his administration,” he told This Week . Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty told Fox News Sunday that the GOP needs to adapt as voters move away from the right. “We have to be a conservative party. But we have to apply those principles in the context of a changing country,” he said.

Sarah Palin is upending protocol with a barrage of post-election interviews, Alessandra Stanley writes in the New York Times . The Alaska governor may be seeking to repair her image after a brutal campaign, and to get the ball rolling now for a White House run, Stanley speculates.
