Police say the 40-year-old son of former ABC anchor Ted Koppel has been found dead in a New York City apartment.
Detective John Sweeney said Andrew Koppel was declared dead at around 1:30 a.m. Monday in a Washington Heights apartment in Manhattan. The cause of death will be determined by a medical examiner.
Police say Koppel was a resident of Queens.
His father, Ted Koppel, was the longtime anchor of ABC's news show "Nightline." A call to his publicist was not immediately returned Tuesday.
