Simply walking around with a Victoria's Secret bag can make women feel more sexy, according to a new study to be released in December. Deborah Roedder John, a marketing professor at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, conducted a series of experiments intended to assess people's self perception after simply being exposed to a mega-brand. Turns out it can have a powerful impact. A separate experiment showed that students who took notes with pens emblazoned with an MIT logo felt smarter after a semester.
