Apple has been granted a trademark for the catchphrase “There’s an app for that,” forbidding all other Internet or handheld-based software services from using the slogan. Apple is notorious for jealously guarding its patents, the Huffington Post notes, recalling the story of the developer whose iPodRip app was rejected because it contained the trademarked word “iPod.” When that developer emailed Steve Jobs to complain, Jobs replied, “Change your app name.
