Christine O’Donnell seemed stymied when asked during last night's debate to name a Democratic senator she’d feel comfortable working with. She gave two names—but neither is currently a Democratic senator. First she mentioned Hillary Clinton, acknowledging “she’s not a senator any more.” Then she interrupted opponent Chris Coons’ critical response by citing Joe Lieberman, who is now an independent.

This isn’t the first time O’Donnell has displayed her admiration for Clinton, the Huffington Post notes. “I've gotten a lot of flak from Republicans for saying that I admire Hillary Clinton. I'm not saying I endorse all of her policies. But she's a strong woman operating in a man's world,” she said earlier this month. The Delaware senate hopeful has also said she’d like Clinton’s endorsement. (Click here for a previous O'Donnell gaffe.)
