NBC's Brian Williams puts the possible king of England under the hot light when he asks if Camilla could be the next queen. "That's, well ... We'll see won't we? That could be," replies Charles, his first response in a five-year quietus concerning the future role of his second wife. Previously, Charles's position has been that Camilla would become "Princess Consort" when he wears the crown, reports the Daily Mail.

The interview, conducted in August, airs tonight. It comes on the heels of Prince William's engagement, with polls suggesting that most Brits would like Charles to relinquish his future throne to his eldest son. The Mail points out that if Elizabeth lives to her mother's age of 101, Charles would be nearly 80 and Wills 45.
