In the race to poke at the biggest Grammy Awards fail (Christina Aguilera's trip? Lea Michele's "wimmers"?), plenty of publications piled on Serene Branson, a CBS LA reporter who seemed to speak gibberish during a post-show segment. Which seemed pretty funny--until reports broke that her garbled speech may have been the result of a stroke, prompting an onslaught of mea culpas.

CBS 2 released a statement saying Branson "was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning." Click for one site's apology.
