Courtney Wanted to Snort Kurt's Ashes: Book

It’s been a while since Courtney Love’s last crazy headline, but fortunately, author Neil Strauss is here to give you a fix. In his new book, Everyone Loves You When You’re Dead, he reveals that after Kurt Cobain’s death, Love considered snorting her late husband’s ashes. “She was serious when she made the suggestion,” Strauss tells Radar. "She actually said she would offer his ashes to me first to snort and then said she would like them."

In the book, he recounts Love leaping off her bed and taking out the tin containing Kurt’s ashes, telling him "say hi to Kurt." She continued, "Too bad you don’t do coke. Otherwise I’d suggest taking a metal straw to it." When Strauss declined, she said, "I’d like to though." (More Courtney Love stories.)
