NFL legend Lawrence Taylor got six years' probation today for his dalliance with a 16-year-old prostitute last year, reports AP. Taylor pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual misconduct charges in January. The girl, now 17, appeared in court with high-profile attorney Gloria Allred, but the judge refused to allow her to read a victim impact statement because it wasn't a felony case. A civil suit is likely, says Allred.

The former Giants linebacker has to register as a sex offender and pay a $1,400 fine. A separate hearing next month will determine whether he is deemed a level 1, 2, or 3 offender, notes LoHud.com. If he gets the the first level, his name and photo won't show up on a public offenders' website. Click for previous stories on the case. (More Lawrence Taylor stories.)
