The amounts are tiny, but radiation from Japan's crippled nuclear plant has reached all the way to Las Vegas, reports the AP. Minuscule amounts of iodine-131 and xenon-133 reached a monitoring station in Sin City, though scientists emphasized it posed no health risks. "Unless you have an accident like this (in Japan) you wouldn't expect to see this. No doubt it's from Japan," said the manager of the monitoring program. Small amounts of radiation have also been detected in California, Colorado, Hawaii, and Washington. "They get caught up in the right wind pattern and they'll move across the ocean," said an environmental scientist. (More Japan nuclear plant stories.)
