Guess who’s back? According to one insider, Dave Chappelle. The comic is coming back to TV six years after abruptly ditching his top-rated Chappelle’s Show, the source tells the Daily. But you’ll have to pay to get your fix, as he’s planning to team up with a paid subscription service like Netflix, Hulu, or Sony’s Crackle, all of which are looking for original programming.

Chappelle has also been staging surprise comedy club gigs, and another source says he’s trying out “all new” material: “He started off talking about his career and what he’s going to do now, because someone like him can’t do Dancing with the Stars. He’s obviously working on some new project.” But another audience member describes some of the material, about walking away from his career, as “really depressing.” (More Dave Chappelle stories.)
