Bachmann Latest to Get Glitter Bombed

Add Michele Bachmann to the list of GOP presidential hopefuls who have been "glitter bombed" by gay rights supporters, reports Politico. Bachmann was leaving the stage after a 40-minute speech yesterday in Minneapolis when a young woman approached the stage and threw glitter, but largely missed the congresswoman. “My response to Michele Bachmann’s hateful and anti-gay rhetoric was light-hearted, but these issues are very serious,” said Rachel Lang, the glitter-tosser, in a press release. Bachmann had no comment on the stunt. Tim Pawlenty and Newt Gingrich were both covered in glitter in the last month in protests against their opposition to gay rights. (More Michele Bachmann stories.)
