Amy Winehouse was in not-so-rare form last night, appearing a little too drunk to perform on the kickoff of her European tour in Belgrade. During the much-hyped 90-minute performance, Winehouse mumbled lyrics, struggled to keep up with her band, and wandered offstage twice as 20,000 fans booed. Tickets for the show cost $54—a dear price in Belgrade, notes the AFP. "I paid my weekly salary for this concert and I knew of her troubles, but the organizers should have canceled it to let us, her fans, remember the real Amy," complained a schoolteacher.
Apparently, Winehouse knows she wasn't hot stuff. A rep for the singer says Winehouse has realized "she cannot perform to the best of her ability." TMZ reports that tomorrow's concert in Istanbul has been canceled, as well as one in Athens scheduled for Wednesday. (More Amy Winehouse stories.)
