Russia dropped a bomb yesterday, and it wasn't nuclear. Addressing an international forum of top astrophysicists and researchers, the director of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Applied Astronomy Institute declared that humanity will discover extraterrestrial life within 20 years, barring mankind's self-destruction, of course. "The genesis of life is as inevitable as the formation of atoms," said Andrei Finkelstein. "Life exists on other planets and we will find it."

The Russian also said 10% of planets around other suns in the galaxy are Earthlike, so the aliens will probably look human, or human-ish, anyway, reports the Guardian. Expect two arms, two legs, and one head. "They may have different color skin, but even we have that." (More extraterrestrial life stories.)
