Maxine Waters, D-Calif. speaks during news conference on Capitol Hill in Washington. (AP Photo/Manuel Balce Ceneta) Rep. Maxine Waters thinks the Tea Party can “go straight to hell,” and, of course, the Tea Party is not happy about it. “We’ve had Democrats calling American citizens ‘terrorists’ and ‘hostage takers,’ and now an elected Democratic representative says that we can ‘go straight to hell,’” responded the Tea Party Patriots in a statement obtained by the Washington Post. “The president and all leaders of the Democratic Party, who have called for civility in the past, are neglecting to censure their own. Is civility only required from their opponents? Perhaps it’s time for a new-NEW era of civility,” the statement continues. “The president’s silence on these latest violations of civility has been deafening, but not surprising.” Click for Waters' original statement. Waters has also been getting aggressive with President Obama over soaring unemployment among African Americans. (More Tea Party stories.) Report an error
