Apparently outrage from Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Michele Bachmann herself did the trick: NBC’s vice president sent a personal letter to Bachmann apologizing for the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon walk-on song incident, the AP reports. The VP called it “not only unfortunate but also unacceptable,” and said Fallon’s band, The Roots, has been “severely reprimanded.” Fallon himself, who first apologized via tweet, also told Bachmann he was sorry when they spoke yesterday; Bachmann’s rep says the host was unaware of the plan to play the “disrespectful” song.
