Donations to George Zimmerman's defense fund have surged since he was ordered back to jail, his lawyer says. The fund, which now holds some $193,000, had been receiving close to $1,000 a day even before Zimmerman's bail was revoked, according to the lawyer. Some $20,000 in donations has already been spent on hotels, security, and living expenses.

Zimmerman's bail was revoked because he failed to mention the existence of the fund at bail hearings, and prosecutors say jailhouse tapes captured him and his wife talking about the fund in code. His lawyer says he plans to apologize and seek a new bond hearing, and that Zimmerman dreaded going back to jail, ABC reports. "He didn't like it when he was there," the lawyer says. "He's frustrated that he had to prove his own innocence." Zimmerman has waived his right to a speedy trial, so he could be locked up for another two years as the trial progresses if bail is not granted. (More George Zimmerman stories.)
