The New England Patriots blasted past the current Miami team to come one step closer to matching the '72 Dolphins' perfect season record. Tom Brady lobbed three touchdown passes in the 28-7 win, pulling even with Dan Marino's 48 TDs in the 1984 season, and ending up just one short of Peyton Manning's 49 in 2004, AP reports.

Lawrence Maroney's 132 yards on seven carries (including 59- and 51-yarders) was his best this seasson. Brady went 18 for 33 for 215 yards and two interceptions, while his Dolphins counterpart Cleo Lemon ended up throwing a pick-free 171 yards, going 18 for 41. Two of Brady's touchdowns went to Moss, whose 21 this season places him second on the all-time list. (More NFL stories.)
