Kate Middleton is royalty now, but she's not above spending a night on the streets of London. She'll join Centrepoint, a charity supporting homeless youth, for its next Sleep Out campaign to raise awareness of the increasing homeless problem, according to Lisa Maxwell, an ambassador for the group. Prince William is a patron of the charity, as was mom Princess Diana before him; he has already taken part in a Sleep Out campaign, the Mirror reports.
Maxwell recently met Kate at a party and told her, "Next time I do it, you’re doing it with me. No excuses, he's done it." Kate's reply: "You’re on." While the Duchess of Cambridge is on the streets, her parents will be living in luxury, thanks to Wills: The prince reportedly put quite a bit of money toward a down payment on a $7.3 million estate his in-laws are purchasing, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. "Supposedly the Middletons are multi-millionaires from their mail-order party supply business," notes one source. "Why do they need extra cash from William? Are they perhaps a bit over-extended financially—trying to keep up with their new royal relatives?" (More Kate Middleton stories.)
