Kristian Huselius had four points, including an important insurance goal late in the third period, as the Flames bested the New York Rangers 4-3. Jarome Iginla continued his torrid goal-scoring pace by notching two tallies, giving him 16 in the last 15 games. The Flames are 10-1-4 during that stretch, reports the National Post. Elsewhere in the NHL:

  • Steve Reinprecht had a hat trick in Phoenix’s 5-2 victory over Colorado. The center also added an assist as the Coyotes climbed above .500 to 19-18-1.
  • Dustin Penner scored his second goal of the game with just 18 seconds remaining in overtime to give Edmonton a 3-2 victory over St. Louis. Mathieu Garon had 31 saves for the Oilers.
