Hooters has long been casually referred to as a "breastaurant," but now a different eatery has gone and trademarked the term. "We're really excited about receiving this federal trademark," says the CEO of the Texas-based Bikinis Sports Bar and Grill chain. "It just further solidifies that Bikinis Sports Bar & Grill is America's ONLY breastaurant." That could be bad news not only for Hooters, but for similar restaurant chains that feature scantily-clad waitresses, like Twin Peaks, Bone Daddy's, Canz, and Tilted Kilt.

"Breastaurants" are increasing in popularity as restaurants struggle to find ways to keep bringing in customers, ABC News reports, and Hooters is in danger of losing its top spot. But Hooters doesn't seem too concerned that it can't legally describe itself as a breastaurant; last month, it told ABC News the term "is a moniker too shallow to define Hooters." As for Bikinis, this isn't the first time it's made headlines: Last year, the CEO purchased an abandoned Texas town with the intention of turning it into a tourist destination renamed "Bikinis."
