Grasping for good news on the eve of the Florida primary, Rudy Giuliani released a video today touting his failure to win endorsements from the Tampa Tribune, Orlando Sentinel, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and New York Times. “He’s not endorsed by any of the liberal newspapers,” the voice-over boasts. But a couple of those publications aren’t known for their leftism, the St. Petersburg Times notes.

Meanwhile, the Republicans with better odds tomorrow traded jabs. Mitt Romney and John McCain called each other tax-and-spenders and flip-floppers, the Miami Herald reports. McCain sarcastically gave his opponent “credit for” taking “both sides of any major issue”; Romney responded by associating his rival with senators named Feingold, Kennedy, Lieberman, and Kerry.
