(AP Photo/Karel Navarro, File) The Dutchman long suspected of murdering American teenager Natalee Holloway in 2005 is going to face justice in the US—but not until 2038. Joran van der Sloot has 24 years left to serve in Peru for the murder of a 21-year-old student, and authorities have agreed to extradite him to the US when his sentence is finished, reports CNN. US prosecutors accuse the 26-year-old of trying to extort money from Holloway's mother by offering false information about the whereabouts of her daughter's body—which he admits doing because they had "made his life difficult." The body of the 18-year-old from Alabama was never found after she disappeared on the Caribbean island of Aruba, but she was declared dead in 2012. (More Joran Van der Sloot stories.) Report an error
