Britney Spears’ business manager and her divorce attorney are both flying the coop, but for different reasons, says People. Lawyer Sorrell Trope turned in his notice yesterday, filing to be released from the K-Fed custody case for the second time. Meanwhile, Spears’ father got Superior Court permission to fire business manager Howard Grossman, though Grossman says he doesn’t know why.

But TMZ thinks it could be because of ties between Grossman and Brit pal Sam Lutfi, who makes the family “uncomfortable”; Britney's mother charged in court papers that Lufti was controlling and abusing her daughter. Grossman denies a Lutfi connection, reports the AP. As for Trope, a hearing will be held March 10. “Hopefully they will find someone to replace us," the attorney said. "I'm not at liberty to say more at this time." (More Britney Spears stories.)
