More potential contenders for the GOP's 2016 presidential nomination are lining up, and they include some very familiar faces. First up: Sarah Palin, who yesterday told the Washington Post that "you can absolutely say that I am seriously interested" in a run. That followed similar comments on ABC News. "When you have a servant's heart, when you know that there is opportunity to do all you can to put yourself forward in the name of offering service, anybody would be interested," she told ABC.
But it seems she lacks what Donald Trump sees as an essential qualification: being Donald Trump. "I'm the one person who can make this country great again, that's all I know," he said in Iowa today, as CNN reports. "Nobody else can." Those who can't apparently include Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney, both of whom, he said, would "ultimately fail." "You can’t have Romney; he choked," he said, as the Los Angeles Times reports. And "the last thing we need is another Bush." Trump, however, could have beaten President Obama and could also beat Hillary Clinton, he says. (More Donald Trump stories.)
