Burger King Franchisee Goes to Extremes to Give Bonuses

Consumerist picks up on a classy little move by the owners of two dozen Burger Kings in Arizona. When the chain designated Barnett Management as "franchisee of the year," it doled out a Corvette and a Rolex in thanks. Tom Barnett and the other owners then sold the car and watch, chipped in their own money, and handed out a total of $120,000 in bonuses to their more than 100 workers, reports 3TV in Phoenix. Some long-timers got as much as $5,000. “The award needed to go to the people who got us here," says one co-owner. (More uplifting news stories.)
