It's a fair enough question: "What the hell was Jimmy Kimmel doing walking in behind Manny Pacquiao?" Huffington Post follows with another seemingly legit question: "No seriously, what in the flying f--k was Kimmel doing right behind Pacquiao" at one of the year's top sporting events? The simple answer is that Kimmel, a self-professed Pacquiao fan, had begged for a spot in the boxer's entourage when Pacquiao appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on April 23, Vanity Fair reports. The host even sang Pacquiao's walk-on song as proof of fandom, but when asked directly whether he'd think about giving up an entourage spot, Pacquiao only smiled and said, "I will." Well, clearly he did, and Kimmel grabbed it.
Kimmel not only kept a straight face when entering the MGM Grand with Pacquiao's team, he donned a black jacket, hat, and two gold chains "in what appeared to be a nod to Mayweather supporter Justin Bieber," People reports. (Not everyone saw it the same way: "Jimmy Kimmel apparently has joined Manny Pacquiao's entourage AND Run DMC," tweeted CBS Sports.) Bieber held up his end, hanging out with Mayweather in what Vanity Fair calls "a slick suit" before the fight. But "while Mayweather may have won the fight," quips the magazine, "Pacquiao clearly won the walk-on." (More boxing stories.)
