Looking for a fresh start somewhere? US News & World Report just released its first list of the best places to live in America. The publication used data from the US Census Bureau, FBI, and more; its own rankings of high schools and hospitals; and a survey of thousands of US residents to rank the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the US. "Top-ranked areas not only have steady job markets, but they also have attributes that contribute to a high quality of life—affordability, low crime rates, shorter commute times, and quality health care," a US News product manager says.
