Alzheimer's deaths are on the rise, according to the most recent data. An analysis of all US death certificates from 2014 shows deaths related to Alzheimer's spiked 10.5% over 2013, per the Los Angeles Times. Such deaths still make up just 5% of deaths for women and 2.2% for men, however. Leading the way in terms of causes of death were the usual villains of heart disease (23.4%) and cancer (22.5%).
