President Trump's former Ferrari was sold at auction for what Bloomberg calls a "disappointing" amount Saturday. The 2007 F430 F1 Coupe had been expected to go for as much as $350,000, but bidding stopped at $240,000, $10,000 below its low estimate and not high enough to meet the reserve price. RM Sotheby's in Florida confirms that, after the auction ended, it was sold for $270,000 in an off-the-record sale. One analyst suggests the car may have sold for less than expected since Trump, a "polarizing" figure, used it himself, but also notes that it may have sold for more if Trump was the current owner. He sold it in 2011, and it was the second owner who put it up for auction. (More Ferrari stories.)
