Diamonds really are a girl's best friend, especially when auctioned off to sympathetic sisters on ExBoyfriendJewelry.com. EBay offers goods without much backstory, but the founders of the gem-hocking site put a personal twist on swapping, selling, and auctioning artifacts of toxic relationships, the New York Times reports.
Prices range from free to $4,800, but buyers and sellers get more than a bauble: The site doubles as a forum to swap stories while unloading the items weighing you down. “You went through this hell, through that relationship to get this piece of jewelry, so you deserve something for it,” says co-founder Megahn Perry, who posted her own engagement and wedding bands on the site.
