A 16-year-old girl shot in the head in a school shooting Tuesday in Maryland died Thursday night, the Baltimore Sun reports. Jaelynn Willey was shot by 17-year-old Austin Rollins at Great Mills High School and left brain dead. The sheriff's office says Rollins and Willey had "a prior relationship which recently ended." She died around 11:30pm—just hours after her parents had said they were taking her off life support. “It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we provide this update,” the sheriff’s office says in a statement. According to CNN, Willey was remembered by her uncle as "the most caring, thoughtful, sweet beautiful young lady I have ever met." Rollins died after being shot by a school resource officer. A 14-year-old male student who was shot in the leg was released from the hospital Wednesday. (More school shooting stories.)
