Critics are accusing the Venezuelan regime of murdering a suspect in the drone assassination attempt on President Nicolas Maduro in August. Fernando Albán, a 56-year-old city councilor in Caracas, died in a fall from a 10th-floor window of the country's top intelligence agency on Monday, two days after his arrest. Attorney General Tarek William Saab said Alban threw himself out the window after asking to go to the bathroom, reports CNN. Alban's lawyer, however, doesn't buy it, saying the high level of security and Alban's "deep spiritual convictions" make that highly unlikely, per CBS News. In the US, Sen. Bob Corker, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, has called for an explanation. (More Venezuela stories.)
