Adam Sandler was one of Saturday Night Live's biggest breakout stars from the 1990s, but he's never been back to host. That changes next month, per the Hollywood Reporter. Sandler will host the May 4 show, with musical guest Shawn Mendes. The actor/comedian joined SNL in 1990 as a writer, and his career began taking off the next year when he became a featured player. Sandler got the boot after the '94-'95 season, but by then classic bits such as his Hannukah Song had made him a star. As the LA Times notes, the hosting gig comes ahead of Sandler's latest movie for Netflix, Murder Mystery. (More Adam Sandler stories.)
