Burglar in Locked Bathroom Turns Out to Be a Robot
CAPTURED!   (WCSO/Facebook)

A "most wanted" suspect has been apprehended in Cedar Hills, Oregon: a "Roomba burglar." The ultimately amusing story started with a house sitter who arrived at a home Monday afternoon to find the bathroom door locked, reports the Oregonian. Shadows were visible through the gap between the door and the floor, and noises were heard. He called 911, and the responding deputies couldn't get the burglar to show himself—so they opened the bathroom door guns drawn and found a Roomba vacuum cleaner.

KATU quotes Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Rogers' incident report: "We made several announcements and the 'rustling' became more frequent. We breached the bathroom door and encountered a very thorough vacuuming job being done by a Roomba Robotic Vacuum cleaner." Among the more humorous comments on the Facebook post about the incident made by the Washington County Sheriff's Office is this one: "After sweeping the premises, the perpetrator was nabbed. Later, the room was dusted for prints." And this one: "Great job catching the sucker!!!!!" (More weird crimes stories.)
