Meghan McCain had a slightly testy exchange about Rep. Ilhan Omar with Seth Meyers on Late Night Tuesday—and her husband took extreme umbrage. In a now-deleted series of tweets, conservative commentator Ben Domenech called Meyers an "untalented piece of s--- who only has his job because he regularly gargled Lorne Michaels' b---s," "a monumental a------ who is utterly unfunny," and "awful, untalented, and a perfect definition of a cuck," which the Hill explains is a word that blends "conservative" and "cuckold." Domenech described the exchange, in which Meyers asked McCain whether she stood by remarks tying the Democratic lawmaker's controversial tweets to last month's synagogue shootings, as "idiotic anti-Semitic bulls---."
Domenech, who founded the Federalist website, said Meyers was proof that "white men get ahead despite their obvious lack of talent," adding that he would "beg for a third of the viewers" of The View, which McCain co-hosts, reports Fox. During the Late Night exchange, Meyers said it was "a little unfair" to keep bringing up Omar's tweets—which fellow House Democrats condemned for using "anti-Semitic tropes"—because she had apologized. "Are you her publicist?" McCain asked him. "Are you her press person?" Domenech later apologized for his outburst, the Arizona Republic reports. "I love my wife. I apologize for rage tweeting about how Seth Meyers treated her," he tweeted. "I don't like him, I think he's a hack, but I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry to anyone I offended."
