Rapper Slim 400 Shot 8 Times

A Compton rapper and producer by the name of Slim 400 is in critical condition after being shot eight times during a Friday night assault, reports TMZ. It's not clear what led to the shooting, which took place in Compton about 8:30pm, reports the Los Angeles Times. The 31-year-old is best known for his work with hip-hop artist YG on songs such as "Bruisin." Police have not released any details about the assault, which comes almost exactly three months after the fatal shooting of Nipsey Hussle, notes TMZ. (A witness to the Hussle shooting told police she heard talk of "snitching" before the shooting.)
