Cops: Dispute Between Seniors May Have Led to Death by Brick
Chun Yong Oh.   (Prince George's County Police)

A 73-year-old Maryland woman is accused of using a brick to kill her longtime friend and neighbor at what NBC News describes as a senior living facility in Bladensburg. Chun Yong Oh took multiple swipes at 82-year-old Hwa Cha Pak with a brick, according to the Prince George's County Police Department. Officers responding to Oh's 911 call found Pak "suffering from upper body trauma in a garden in the back of the building" around 7:15am Sunday. She died at the scene, according to a release, which describes "a dispute prior to the murder."

"Who in their right mind, or what kind of evil, had to creep up to take my grandmother's life?" Andy Kwon asks, per the Washington Post, noting Pak moved to the US from South Korea in the 1980s to help raise nine grandchildren. A police rep tells People it's still unclear what type of dispute preceded the killing. However, NBC Washington reports the pair may have argued over a long-standing debt. Oh was sitting next to Pak's body when police arrived and later admitted to the crime under questioning, according to the outlet. She's charged with first- and second-degree murder.
