A little bit of hedonism never hurt anybody—but in what WalletHub calls "the darkest corners of America," some of our worst vices are in overdrive. The site examined more than three dozens indicators of "evil deeds" in upward of 180 US cities, broken out into seven categories: "Anger and Hatred," which looked at such factors as violent crimes, hate groups, and bullying; "Jealousy" (e.g., identity theft, fraud); "Excesses and Vices" (including drinking too much); "Greed" (gambling addicts, the number of casinos); "Lust" (adult entertainment venues, teen birth rates); "Vanity" (beauty and tanning salons, searches on Google for "plastic surgery"); and "Laziness" (school dropout rates, adults who don't exercise). It's probably no surprise that Las Vegas, aka "Sin City," ranked at the top of the list, but are you surprised by the rest? Read on for the top 10:
