Two of the 10 people shot during a party in Fresno on Sunday night have been identified as prominent Hmong singers. JN Vang was wounded, the Fresno Bee reports, and has undergone surgery. Hmong Talk said on Facebook that a family member confirmed that Xyy Lee was among the four people who have died. "Thank you for all the beautiful music," the post said. The head of a Fresno nonprofit said the two performed every year at Hmong New Year's celebrations. "These are people who are near and dear to us," he said. "I don’t see any gang affiliation to these folks." Gunmen slipped into the backyard of the house, where a gathering of about 35 family and friends was taking place, and opened fire. The shooters fled on foot, per CBS.

No arrests have been made, and police have not released any information about any suspects. Police went door-to-door Monday looking for surveillance video that might help, per the AP. Neighbors said the neighborhood has had at least two other shootings recently. "We're thinking about moving out of the neighborhood," one said. "We don't know how many more shootings there will be." Earlier Sunday, a man was shot and killed in another part of Fresno. Police have not said whether they know of any connection. (More shootings stories.)
