Monday's optimism on Wall Street is carrying into another day. The Dow rose 800 points at the open Tuesday, more than 3%, reports CNBC. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq also were up more than 2%. Once again, investors seem optimistic that the coronavirus outbreak was slowing around the world, per the Wall Street Journal. Major indexes in Europe and Asia also rose on Tuesday. “It’s hard to reject the view that things are improving," Paul O’Connor of Janus Henderson tells the Journal. "Markets have been celebrating this in the last couple of days." Travel and leisure companies have been among the big gainers. (A note of caution: Spain saw its death toll increase Tuesday after four straight days of decline.)
