Police say women are dressing as nurses and stealing packages from residents' doorsteps in Washington state, CNN reports. Surveillance-video images of two suspects show them wearing scrubs, gloves, a lanyard, and an ID badge—but Kennewick police don't think for a second that either are really nurses. "The nurses we are fortunate to know only give their time, lives, and take the vitals of their patients (not their property)," they write on Facebook. One package was apparently taken Wednesday from outside the home of a law enforcement officer and a real nurse.
"We have a home security system so I pulled up the videos," says Michelle Santiago, who wasn't home when the delivery came. "I could see the FedEx driver drop the package off around 3 o'clock that afternoon in one video and in [another] video this woman walks up and takes it less than 5 minutes later. Even if we had been home I don't know if I would've gotten out there fast enough to get the package." She says she showed the video to neighbors, and heard others had suffered the same fate.
