Tony Bennett has set a Guinness World Record, his fifth. The 95-year-old is now officially the oldest person to release an album of new material, the recordkeeping organization has confirmed. Love for Sale, Bennett's collaboration with Lady Gaga, was released October 1, CNN reports. Bennett, who has Alzheimer's disease and is now retired from live shows but had just recently performed with Gaga, also collaborated with her on 2014's Cheek to Cheek. "I see a young boy every time I sing with him, and it just makes the experience of singing so freeing," Gaga said in a video celebrating the record, per Fox News.
"To have it be about two souls singing together … and then at the same time, I also take in all his wisdom. The wisdom of all his years," she continues. Bennett's four previous Guinness World Records include one for their previous album: oldest person to reach No. 1 on the US album chart with a newly recorded album. He also holds the records for longest time between UK top 20 albums (39 years), oldest person to enter the UK top 20 album chart (for Duets: An American Classic at age 80), and longest time between the release of an original recording and a re-recording of the same single by the same artist (nearly 69 years, "Fascinating Rhythm").
