Tom Brady Makes Unusual Scheduling Choice Amid Marital Rumors

Hot on the heels of reports that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are living separately comes a report from NFL.com that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will be taking a personal day every Wednesday for the rest of the season. He already missed the Wednesday practice last week, reports Yahoo Sports, which notes that Brady has never taken a weekly day off before during his 23 years in the NFL, and that he rarely misses a practice unless he's injured. Meanwhile, the Bucs beat the New Orleans Saints 20-10 Sunday, and the Verge reports that Brady, upset after an incomplete pass, angrily tossed a tablet onto the field during the game, a move he's made before when he was upset over a loss. There was also a brawl during the game tangentially involving Brady; see Sports Illustrated for more on that.

But if it's the Brady-Bundchen marriage and its rumored-to-be-rocky status you're interested in, Page Six reports the supermodel was spotted crying on her cellphone in New York City near the apartment the couple shares on Wednesday, when Brady would have been at training camp in Tampa. She also skipped a charity dinner for which she was a co-chair the following day. Meanwhile, TheComeback reports that at a press conference Thursday, Brady's face appeared a bit different, leading to comments like this on Twitter: "Looks like he was traded from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Dallas Buyers Club."
