Val Kilmer is pretty confident about a future in New Mexico politics—assuming that’s his next move. “If I run, I’m going to be the next governor,” the actor and affirmed Democrat tells the AP. He's considering a campaign next year, when term limits will bar Gov. Bill Richardson from seeking re-election. Kilmer, 49, has owned a ranch near Pecos, NM, for 20 years.
“I’m just looking for ways to be contributive,” the Batman Forever star says. “And if that ends up being where I can make a substantial contribution, then I’ll run.”
