Cops Eye Link in Mother-Daughter Murders
Delores and Ebony Dewitt. Their bodies were found Monday in a burning car in what police said could be the work of a serial killer.

Police are hunting for possible links between the grisly murders of a pair of mothers and daughters in the Washington DC area, reports the Washington Post. Both cases could "possibly" be the work of a serial killer, said a police official. Both moms were in their 40s and were killed with their teenage daughters. They were murdered within a half mile of each other in Prince George County, and both cases appear to be linked to a burglary.

"This is priority one for the department," said a police spokesman. "The similarities are very worrisome, very unusual, and they have caused us great concern." In the most recent case, police found the bodies of a mother and daughter in a burning car. The car had been stolen from an area woman whose house was recently burglarized.
