The iPhone App Store has been a slam dunk as far as Walter Mossberg is concerned. “We’ve seen this before, on a smaller scale,” he writes in the Wall Street Journal. “But these new apps can be far more sophisticated, and they are appearing at a much faster rate.” He helpfully suggests his favorites:
- Tweetie ($2.99): A great Twitter app that makes it easy to organize your tweets.
- Kindle (free): The software version of the e-book reader synchronizes with its hardware counterpart, and works well on its own, too.
- ICE (99¢): Stands for “In Case of Emergency,” and provides your name, emergency contacts, doctor’s name and other medical info.
- ReaddleDocs ($9.99): E-mail an attachment to a special address, and Readdle sends it straight to your iPhone.
