Carrie Prejean—the Miss USA contestant whose views on gay marriage made her an instant celebrity—now has another media flap to deal with: The organizers of the Miss California pageant say they paid for her to have breast implants, reports Access Hollywood. "It's not a rarity," says co-director Shanna Moakler. "It’s very common." Perez Hilton, however, thinks the revelation is a "very catty" move that signals sour relations between Prejean and the California pageant.
Moakler confirms only that Prejean has been scarce since she became a hero of the right. “We’ve tried really hard (to get in contact) and she keeps referring us to her mother and her PR person,” said Moakler, who denied any hard feelings but acknowledged she doesn't share Prejean's views. "The night of the (Miss USA) show, I wrote Carrie, and I congratulated Carrie, and I also told her her answer, for me, did hurt feelings." (More Carrie Prejean stories.)
